Sam received $960. 3/3-100%=1440, i got this by doing 12x120. if 1440 dollars means its 100% also means that 1/3=$480 (1440/3). so to figure this out i did 480 times 2 which equaled $960.

First we Figure out how many he sold which is 0 because that's 2/3 of 120 then we times 12 by 80 to get $960

first you figure out how much is 2/3, so do 120 divided by 3=40.(40+40+40=120) so 2/3 would be 40x2= 80. 80 bears x 12$ each =80x12=960$, so he recieved 960 dollars in total for all those bears.

Sam received $960. I know this because 80 is 2/3 of 120. So then you need to find Sam's earning. 80 * $12 = $960.
ReplyDeleteSam got $960 because 1/3 of 120 is 40. I found that out by doing 120 divided by 3. He sold 2/3 of his bears so I did 1/3 + 1/3 which equaled 80. Since 1 bear is $12 I did 80x 12 which equaled 960 dollars

Yo, yo, yo pplz of Earth and possibly beyond o.O!!! Kay, here's my answer; he made $960 bucks. How I got it? Quite simple my mentally confuzzled friend! You divide 120 by 3 to get 40. 40 is already 1/3 so just double it to get 80, or 2/3. 80 is 2/3 so multiply 80 by $12 to get $960. Got it? You don't... OH WELL! READ IT AGAIN! XP

Sam recived 960$. Firts, you have to figure out one third of 120. It is 40. Now, you have to multiply 40x2, this is because 40=1/3 and you need 2/3. 40x2=80. Then, you have to multiply 80 times 12. Eighty is the number of teddy bears and 12$ is the price for one individual teddy bear. 80x12=960. So,Sam made 960 off of selling teady bears...(wow)

To get my answer I started off with 1/3 of 120 = 120/3 = 40. But that is only 1/3, to get 2/3 you multiply by 2, which is 80. Sam sold 80 teddy bears. To get the price you multiply 80 by $12. And you get $960. Oh, and Sam received $960.
ReplyDeleteMy answer: First of all 1/3 = 40. Just putting that out there. So two thirds must be 40+40 which is 80. That means he sold 80 bears. At 12 dollars each to find how much money he got you would do 12 x 80 which = 960. So he gets 960$ in total.
